Says Dr. Campbell will Fight to Fix our City’s Infrastructure
San Diego – California Congressional Member Scott Peters, has endorsed Jennifer Campbell, MD in her bid to represent San Diego’s 2nd City Council District, the campaign announced today.
“Dr. Jennifer Campbell is passionate about taking care of our infrastructure and solving problems,” said Congressman Scott Peters. “Her track record for jumping into any situation and getting things done as a doctor and community advocate is exactly what our city needs right now. I know she will hold City Hall accountable and she’ll do it with energy and compassion.”
Dr. Campbell continues to gain support from community leaders and elected officials in her campaign. In addition to Congressman Peters, Dr. Campbell has earned support from State Senator Toni Atkins, Assemblymember Todd Gloria, and former State Senator Christine Kehoe.
“I am incredibly honored to have the support of Congressman Scott Peters, a tireless advocate for the veterans and our military community in San Diego. During his time on the City Council, Congressman Peters was crucial in implementing the $2 billion redevelopment of downtown San Diego and fixing our sewer system to prevent pollution of our beaches and bays,” said Dr. Campbell. “I hope to continue his legacy as a member of the San Diego City Council and be the Doctor on Call to Fix City Hall.”
As a Family Medicine specialist for the past thirty-seven years, Dr. Campbell has taken care of people of all ages and backgrounds. She is running for San Diego City Council’s Second District because she believes San Diego needs accountable leadership. She has been an active member of the San Diego community since she moved from Pittsburgh more than a decade ago. Here in San Diego, she has taught Integrative Medicine at the Doctoral and Masters levels at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. She has advocated for her community through volunteering on civic projects, working with charities, and serving on the Board of Directors of the Clairemont Town Council and the San Diego County Democratic Party Central Committee. Dr. Campbell lives in the Bay Ho neighborhood of Clairemont. She and her partner Suzanne have six children, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She is The Doctor on Call to Fix City Hall.
